Pakistani Kulcha Recipe is a Pakistani flatbread that is very similar to naan, but the main difference between them is that Naan is made of refined white flour whereas Kulcha tends to be made with wheat flour. Naan dough is leavened with yeast to make it soft and light.
Kulcha is also topped with Till (sesame seeds) and is usually served Breakfast.
Ingredients for Pakistani Kulcha Recipe
- 3 cups white flour
- 1/2 cup oil
- 1/2 cup plain yogurt
- 3/4 cup water
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- A pinch of Baking Soda
Step to Step Method
· Step 1
Add white flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda in a bowl, and salt in it.
· Step 2
Pour a little oil into the mixture.
Then Add yogurt, knead the dough and add water as required if necessary. The dough must be soft and not very tight.

Leave the dough for some time and cover with a wet cloth for 2 hours. The dough will settle down due to Baking Powder and Baking Soda.
· Step 4
Preheat the Tandoor (traditional oven) at high temperature.
· Step 5
Make round balls of dough and spread it in a tear-shaped bread.
To make a good quality Kulcha try spreading it by hand by patting and pressing the dough firmly.

Put it in the Tandoor and cook for 8-10 minutes. It is ready to be served.
