Shogran is a hill station located on a plateau in the Kaghan Valley of northern Pakistan at an elevation of 2,362 meters (7,749 ft) above sea level. It is located in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

The road is difficult to drive in the Kaghan Valley. This is a mountain road with hairpin turns and dangerous descents, so drive carefully. It only takes a few twists to make your hair stand on end. The track is very difficult. The climb starts at 1,502m above sea level in Kiwai and lasts 13.8km. The elevation gain in this section is 1,556 meters. The average gradient is 11.2%, with some sections reaching 15%.
